The second Guide Dog pup 'Diesel' sponsored by the generosity of WIcksons customers has entered training at Leamiongton Spa - he is on his way to being able to enhance a blind or partially sighted person soon!

The on going CPC Driver Training programme introduced to comply with our industrys legistration has proved very enjoyable and beneficial to our team of professional drivers.

All coach drivers have to have completed 5 modules of trainingby 2013 - the majority of our drivers have now completed their 3rd module - so our customers can be assured our drivers are right upto date!

Over 100 guests attended our Group Organisers Lunch at The Terrace Restaurant, Brownhills on Thursday 20th January.  It was an enjoyable social occassion giving our valued customers a chance to meet our staff and us the opportunity to put a face to the name!

Passengers on the Christmas and New Year in Ausrtria tour 2010/11 raised £137.66 for Help For Heros from raffles, quizzes and bingo during their holiday.

A toal of £257.32 rasied was donated euqally to Help For Heros and Guide Dogs For The Blind.

A big thank you to everyone on behalf of the two worthwhile charities.

2010 sees two new vehicles joining the fleet, both vehicles are EURO 5 specification - WIcksons again reduce their carbon footprint with these latest green machines.  All Wicksons vehicles meet the criteria to operate in the Low Emission Zones in our European cities - but these latest additions mean 50% of our fleet is Euro 5 conforming, so 5 years ahead of having to be!

Our new 36 seater executive caused quite a stir when displayed at the Coach and Bus Live show at the NEC.

The new vehicle due to be delivered later this month (October) has 36 reclining seats, washroom, drinks facilities, DVD player and air conditioning.

Meeting the Euro 5 emissions level, this vehicle will assist in reducing Wicksons Carbon footprint further!

Following a growing demand from our valued customers Wicksons Travel have added Wheelchair Accessible additions to our modern fleet of coaches.

Through the hardwork and determination of staff at Wicksons and the support from our valued customers, our fundraising efforts for Guide Dogs For The Blind raised £10,000 in 2008.

This figure will sponsor 2 puppy's in their initial training.  The first dog called Wicksy was born on 21st February and has now been placed with its puppy walkers - when we have more information we will let you know.  The second dog is yet to be named, why not take part in our Name The Puppy competition.
