Our new 36 seater executive caused quite a stir when displayed at the Coach and Bus Live show at the NEC.

The new vehicle due to be delivered later this month (October) has 36 reclining seats, washroom, drinks facilities, DVD player and air conditioning.

Meeting the Euro 5 emissions level, this vehicle will assist in reducing Wicksons Carbon footprint further!

Following a growing demand from our valued customers Wicksons Travel had added two additions to our modern fleet of coaches.

We have a 'Baby', a very cute 16 seater with rear wheelchair access and a 'Mommy', a full specification 51 seaeter touring coach with a side wheelchair lift, offering all the security and comfort you would expect from a mommy.

Will 'Daddy' complete the family? - We hope so!  If our new venture into accessible coach hire proves successful, we hope to announce the arrival of further vehicles, making Everywhere Accessible For Everyone in the near future.

Seating capacities stated are the maximum capacities, when accessibility system is deployed - seating capacities are reduced.

The coach drivers CPC qualification requirement came into force on 10th September 2008, all coach drivers have to complete 35 hours  periodic training by September 2013.

Following on from obtaining their NVQ2 Qualification Wicksons Travel's coach drivers have already started their periodic training to ensure they are keeping upto date with the knowledge to give you peace of mind when travelling with Wicksons.

Through the hardwork and determination of staff at Wicksons and the support from our valued customers, our fundraising efforts for Guide Dogs For The Blind raised £10,000 in 2008.

This figure will sponsor 2 puppy's in their initial training.  The first dog called Wicksy was born on 21st February and has now been placed with its puppy walkers - when we have more information we will let you know.  The second dog is yet to be named, why not take part in our Name The Puppy competition.

With a consistent on-going vehicle replacement programme, Wicksons Travel operate one of the most modern up to date fuel efficient fleets in the Midlands, all our vehicles comply with Euro 3 emissions standard, with our newest vehicles meeting Euro 4 and 5 standards, therefore minimising our operating effects on the environment.

All driving staff as part of their NVQ (level 2) qualification have undergone SAFED (Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving) training ensuring their knowledge to maximise the benefits of our already fuel efficient fleets.
