The Lion Hotel - Situated on the Criccieth Village Green
commanding magnificent views of Cardigan Bay, The Lion Hotel which dates back to 1731 has been tastefully developed and
extended from an Olde Inn into the Hotel it is today offering a unique personal service of friendliness, comfort and true hospitality
All the bedrooms have en suite facilities and offer remote control
colour television, direct-dial telephone, radio, alarm clock, hairdryers and a complimentary tea and coffee tray.  Our stay is on dinner bed  and breakfast basis.

A five day holiday to enjoy the scenic beauty of Wales and an opportunity to take a look at the history that makes Wales the big country!

Holiday Itinerary (maybe subject to operational change)

Monday
Our outward journey takes us via Welshpool, our stop off will be at the refurbished
railway station, now a major tourist attraction.  We continue towards Dolgellau catching a glimpse of Powis Castle on the way, then onto Criccieth to our hotel.

Tuesday
After breakfast today we travel north to the Isle Of Anglesey, first stop at
Llanfairpwll…….gogogoch for coffee (not inc) and the Pringle Wollen Mill.  On then to Beaumaris for lunch and in the afternoon a visit to the enchanting Castle (entrance fee
included).  Return home via Llanberis Pass & Beddgelert.

Wednesday
A morning visit to local Pwllheli and its market.  Afternoon visit to Caernarfon and the
majestic site of the investiture of Prince Charles as Prince of Wales in 1969--Caernarfon Castle (cost included).

Thursday
Follow the route to Blaenau Ffestiniog and the Crimean Pass, with coffee stop (not inc) at Betws-y-Coed.  On then to the Conwy Valley & Conwy itself with its own wonderful Castle and lunch stop.  After lunch continue along the A55 to Penrhyn Castle - a magnificent
example of early 19th century neo-Norman architecture (cost included).

Friday
After breakfast its homeward bound, again we enjoy more of the Welsh scenery as we pass by Llyn Celyn to return via Corwen and Llangollen.  Following our lunchtime stop off we return via Chirk with its castle sat proudly above, to arrive in local areas late
afternoon.
