Saturday You will board the coach at your chosen departure point and travel southwards towards the world famous university city of Cambridge, where you will have time to explore this most interesting of cities or even take a boat ride on the River Cam. For the enthusiast interested in aircraft an optional visit to the Duxford Aircraft Museum available (Museum admission cost chargeable at adults £16.50, senior citizens £13.50, children under 15 free). This historic aerodrome site is the home to some of the most celebrated air battles in history, even some of the hangers are original from the 'Battle of Britain' days with aircraft d ating back to the First World War, certainly a wonderful opportunity not to be missed. We arrive at our hotel in plenty of time to freshen up before enjoying a relaxed evening dinner.
Sunday This morning after breakfast we board the coach for the short journey to one of the most celebrated stately homes in the country, enjoy a ride around the deer park, a tour around the Abbey gardens with one of their experts and even afternoon tea in the Tearooms as well as explore this most interesting building set in magnificent grounds.
Sadly we have to board the coach late afternoon to continue our journey home to arrive early evening in our local areas.
