The South coast of England is a very popular holiday destination and no wonder—warmer climate, the flat promenades and
beautiful gardens. In 2011 Eastbourne recorded a huge 1962 hours of sunshine, with an average of 5 hours and 23 minutes per day. With great places to visit within easy reach Eastbourne is the ideal destination for your summer holiday!
Text Box: Proposed Itinerary (maybe subject to operational change)

Monday: Heading South East, traffic hopefully good so taking
advantage of the motorway network our afternoon eta should be achievable!

Tuesday: Free day to kick back and hopefully enjoy the
sunshine—holiday bliss!

Wednesday: This morning we are off to the town of Rye (on the island), the Saxons called it ‘Atter Ie’ meaning ‘on the island’. Over the years it was altered to Attie Rie, and finally Rye. Well that’s the history lesson, but why today? It is market day so the town is alive. In the afternoon we will stop off at Battle of 1066 fame.

Thursday: We are off to Brighton with its fabulous Pavilion, built for King George IV between 1787 and 1823, the Royal Pavillion is remarkable for its exotic oriental appearance. Admission is
included on this tour—you can take a peek inside!

Friday: Heading home we drop into Royal Tonbridge Wells before joining the motorway.
